On May 30, 2025, the WASB Board of Directors appointed Wendi Stitzer of the Boscobel School Board to fill the seat formerly held by Mike Humke of the Dodgeville School Board, who was not re-elected to his local board in April.
Stitzer served in an interim role until the Region 9 Fall Regional Meeting on Oct. 9, 2025, when she was elected to fulfill Humke’s unexpired term. Her term will run until 2028.
Stitzer has been a member of the Boscobel School District Board of Education since 2017, serving as vice president since 2019. She has also been a member of the CESA 3 Board of Control since 2017. She is currently serving her third term on the School District Boundary Board of Appeals and has been active for the last three years on the WASB Policy and Resolutions Committee.
She is actively involved in the district and throughout the community. You will frequently see her courtside, matside, on the sidelines or running the course taking pictures of area athletes and cheering them on. In 2019, the Boscobel Athletic Boosters recognized her with the Chuck Yahn Memorial Award for her support of all school athletics and co-curricular. She is a big proponent for small schools and knows the area well.
