Call for Proposals
Showcase your district at the 2027 Wisconsin State Education Convention. The Call for Proposals is now open! Applications are now open for breakout sessions, student performances, the student art contest, the student video team and the School Fair.
The convention is made possible by the active participation of school boards, school districts and their partners throughout the state. This is your opportunity to be a part of it. Scroll down to read more about each opportunity, including the submission deadlines.
Breakout Sessions
Share your expertise with education leaders across Wisconsin. Whether you’re leading creative district initiatives, finding new ways to manage funding shortages, tackling chronic absenteeism, supporting student success, or integrating AI into your work, we invite you to present what you’ve learned and help inspire your colleagues.
The deadline to submit breakout session proposals is Friday, June 19.

Student Performance Showcase
The Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Wisconsin School Music Association co-sponsor an annual Student Performance Showcase for Wisconsin students in grades 9-12. Four performance groups will be selected to perform during the State Education Convention general sessions. Travel stipends for participating districts are generously provided by the WASBO Foundation.
The deadline to submit Student Performance Showcase proposals is Friday, June 19.

School Fair
The State Education Convention showcases the innovative and inspiring work of schools and students!
The School Fair features innovative programs and projects that have made a difference in school districts across Wisconsin.
The deadline to submit is Friday, Sept. 18.

Student Art Exhibit
Join us in showcasing the talent of Wisconsin students!
The theme of the 2026 Student Art Exhibit is Growth. This experience is open to all Wisconsin public school students enrolled in grades 7-12.
The deadline to submit art is Sunday, Nov. 15.

Student Video Team
Wisconsin students document the State Education Convention each year. The video team films, edits and produces a highlight video of the exciting events, sessions and performances at the State Education Convention.
Watch the 2026 Convention Video produced by Milton High School students — and we can’t wait to see what the 2027 team produces in January!
