The WASB provides a variety of advocacy, legal and policy publications for Wisconsin school board member. In addition, the Wisconsin School News magazine and eConnection Newsletter provide stories from around the state and the nation that are important to school board service.
Member Recognition Program
In recognition of the importance of professional development, the WASB awards points to board members who participate in WASB and NSBA (National School Boards Association) activities. Each August, the WASB sends out a Member Recognition Report, which reflects WASB programs attended for that year and the total accumulated points. Qualifying board members receive pins and certificates at their Regional Meeting that fall.
Business Honor Roll
The WASB invites member school boards to submit the names of up to five local businesses, including newspapers or other media, that have been helpful to your school district over the past year.
Tell us who they are and what they have done for your schools, and we will help you promote your business partnerships.
Wisconsin School Board Week
This special week is a time to build awareness and understanding of the vital function an elected board of education plays in our communities.
We encourage public school districts across the state to celebrate Wisconsin School Board Week to honor local school boards for their commitment to their communities and students.

Investing in Wisconsin Public Schools (Tool to Understand School Finance)
Investing in Wisconsin Public Schools™ has been collaboratively developed by WASBO, WASB and WSPRA to help address the challenges of educating stakeholders on public school finance. This comprehensive process includes large scale visual maps, key data points, and engaging discussion questions, which are designed to be used in small groups guided by facilitators.
Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities
The WASB Communications team connects our Service Associates and other businesses with school districts through advertising opportunities and event sponsorships, as well as welcoming businesses as Convention exhibit hall participants.
In addition to press releases, the WASB maintains a set of resources based on frequently asked questions from reporters.
