The WASB hosts a series of workshops, conferences and webinars throughout the year to provide members with professional development and the latest information.

Services and Resources

WASB provides a wide range of services and resources to support board members and district administrators in governance, advocacy, legal compliance, policy development, communications and effective district leadership.

Publications and Products

The WASB publishes a wide array of publications and subscriptions—both print and electronic—covering governance, policy, school law, employee relations, legislative affairs and general school topics.

New in 2026, the WASB is excited to announce a valuable new school safety training opportunity made possible through funding from the WASB Insurance Plan. WASB members can now send up to 12 people, including one spot reserved for a board member, to receive hands-on safety training at Northcentral Technical College’s Community Safety Simulation Center in Merrill at a substantial discount — more than half off non-member prices. Learn more or contact WASB Director of Member Services Ben Niehaus for additional information.
