Dan Rossmiller
WASB Executive Director

Dan Rossmiller currently serves as the executive director of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, a position he has held since July 1, 2023. Dan also currently serves on the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council and the School Personnel Development Grant Advisory Committee. From November 2006-June 2023, Dan served as the WASB’s government relations director. In that role, Dan testified before legislative committees on hundreds of education-related bills and served as a member of the Legislature’s Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding.

Prior to joining the WASB, Dan served as public affairs director for the State Bar of Wisconsin, working extensively with the Family Law Section of the State Bar. That work followed a 20-plus year career working in the Wisconsin Legislature as a senior policy analyst, legislative committee clerk and chief of staff.

He received both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
