At a morning Capitol press conference, Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) and Rep. Mark Born (R-Beaver Dam) today announced plans to hold three in-person public hearings on the state budget as well as an additional statewide virtual hearing.
In-person hearings will be held on the following dates and locations:
- Fri., April 9–UW Whitewater
- Wed., April 21–Rhinelander (Hodag Dome)
- Thurs., April 22–UW Stout (Menomonie)
All hearings will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will follow the guidelines of the local county health department or the UW campus (as applicable).
The statewide virtual hearing will be held on Wed., April 28. (Pre-registration will be required)
The co-chairs also announced the creation of a JFC Budget Input Website where people can find information on how to provide/submit input or testimony on the budget. This website is also the place where people will be able to register in advance for the virtual hearing, although this feature does not appear to be operational yet.
