Budget committee will take up broadband grants funding on Thursday

The state legislature’s powerful Joint Finance Committee (JFC), chaired by Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) and Rep. Mark Born (R-Beaver Dam) is scheduled to vote on certain areas of the 2021-23 biennial budget on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 11:01 a.m. The meeting will be held in Room 412 East, State Capitol.

Among the items scheduled to be voted on are Broadband Provisions under the Public Service Commission. Here is a link to the budget document (Paper 525) the JFC will be working off of including the alternatives they have to choose from for funding levels.
