2023 WASB Day at the Capitol

Over 200 school board members and administrators from around the state joined the WASB on March 22 to advocate for their schools at our 2023 Day at the Capitol event.
In the morning, they received the latest information on the 2023-25 state budget and other legislation. We hosted a bipartisan legislative panel with Sen. Duey Stroebel (R-Saukville), Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee), Rep. Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay) and Rep. Kristina Shelton (D-Green Bay).
In the afternoon, members met with their legislators at the Capitol.

Programming included a briefing on the proposed 2023-25 state budget, an explanation of the WASB’s budget priorities and a panel discussion featuring these key legislative leaders from both parties:
