2022 Fall Regional Meetings
The Fall Regional Meetings take place in every WASB region across the state and provide an opportunity to network with area board members, celebrate accomplishments and learn about what WASB is doing for you. In Regions 2, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 15, your board voted for or will be voting for a WASB regional director.
Pre-Regional Meeting Workshop
4 p.m. – Registration Begins
4:30-6 p.m. – Workshop Program
Workshop: Running Effective Board Meetings
All school boards conduct their business in similar meetings. However, the effectiveness of their meetings can vary widely. How a board conducts its meetings can impact the board’s success in moving the needle on student achievement.
In this workshop, an experienced WASB school attorney reviews the role of the board president in running the meeting. They also review b oard member roles as well as how to structure meetings to conduct an effective board meeting.
Note: The Pre-Regional Meeting Workshops are held in the same facility as the Regional Meeting. To assist our venues, please do not arrive before 3:45 p.m.

At each Regional Meeting, the WASB recognizes school board members who have reached a new achievement level in the WASB Member Recognition Program by attending and participating in activities and events sponsored by the WASB.
Elections (Regions 2, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 15)
Each member school board and CESA board has one vote to elect a WASB regional director, who serve staggered, three-year terms.
Member Survey
Earlier this year, the WASB surveyed members about their attitudes toward WASB services. We’ll provide an update on what you told us and how we’re beginning to put those results into action.
Legislative Update
Work on the next two-year state budget is set to begin in the spring. Learn more about how it might affect your students — and how you can advocate for them.
