2024 Fall Advocacy Workshops
The WASB will hold an in-person advocacy workshop in Pewaukee on Wednesday, Nov. 13. This engaging regional workshop, titled “Amplifying Our Voice,” will provide Wisconsin school board members an opportunity to share local experiences and collaborate to develop tools for impactful advocacy.
Join us for a hands-on evening workshop on how to develop the kind of relationships with lawmakers and their staff that will make you a better, more effective legislative advocate for your students and schools.
For anyone unable to attend in person, an online workshop will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. The registration fee is $120 for the in-person workshop and $75 for the online workshop. Dinner is included for the in-person event.

These engaging regional workshops will provide Wisconsin school board members an opportunity to share local experiences and collaborate to develop tools for impactful advocacy. To help you share your district’s story, we will:
- Describe the inner workings of legislative offices and offer tips on how to make efficient and effective contacts.
- Highlight WASB resources that support your advocacy efforts.
- Discuss challenges you may have experienced in communicating with your state lawmakers.
Let’s work together to amplify the voice of public education in Wisconsin.

*The CESA 4, CESA 9 and CESA 11 Fall Advocacy Workshops have been canceled due to low registration. If you were registered, you will be refunded in full. You will be partially refunded if you choose to attend the $75 online workshop on Thursday, Nov. 19.
