On May 8, 2025, the WASB Board appointed Kathleen Wied-Vincent of the Greendale School Board to fill the seat formerly held by Brett Hyde of the Muskego-Norway School Board, who did not seek re-election in April.
Wied-Vincent served in an interim role until being elected during the 2025 Region 11 Fall Regional Meeting on Oct. 2, 2025. Her full three-year term on the WASB Board of Directors will begin in January 2026.
Wied-Vincent has served on the Greendale School Board since 2017, including 2.5 years as board president and four years as board clerk. Kathy has achieved Level V recognition from the WASB and represented Greendale at the WASB Delegate Assembly for four years. She has contributed to the WASB Policy and Resolutions Committee for three years. As a Milwaukee County Supervisor, Kathleen has been appointed by the chairwoman as an advisor to the Youth Commission. Holding a bachelor’s in elementary education and a master’s in education, she has dedicated her career to serving children in Wisconsin public schools since 1990.
