The Final Report to the Membership on Resolutions Adopted by the 2019 WASB Delegate Assembly is now posted on the WASB website (www.wasb.org) on the Delegate Assembly page. To find it, look under the Advocacy and Government Relations tab, then click on the Delegate Assembly link.
Thanks to all delegates and boards for your work on these resolutions.
Thanks also to the many boards that submitted resolutions and to the dedicated board members from around the state who served on the WASB Policy & Resolutions Committee that reviewed those submitted resolutions.
These newly adopted resolutions will now be placed in the 2019 edition of the WASB Resolutions Book, which will be published later this Spring, and will remain in force until amended or repealed. To find the 2018 edition of the WASB Resolutions Book click here.
Under the WASB Bylaws, the Policy and Resolutions Committee is comprised of school board members representing all areas of the state, all types of districts, and each WASB region. Committee members are appointed by the WASB President upon the nomination of Regional Directors. Each year about one-half of the members are new to the committee.
WASB First Vice-President Brett Hyde (pictured) of Muskego-Norway will serve as Chair.
If you are interested in serving on the Policy and Resolutions Committee in the future, please contact your WASB Regional Director.

Many boards find the best way to get the WASB working on their issue is to offer a board resolution stating what you think the WASB position should be and why on any relevant topic.
Please include a clear, concise rationale to explain the intent of your resolution. Then adopt your resolution and rationale and send the WASB a copy. Thank you to the boards who have already sent us resolutions this year. (more…)
