Health Protocols for 2022
Updated: Jan. 3, 2022
Convention organizers are working to keep the 2022 Wisconsin State Education Convention in person.
Due to rising COVID numbers, the following health protocols are in place for the convention:
- To receive a convention badge, attendees must show proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or the results of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours before arriving at the convention. Accepted forms of documentation include printed or digital versions of: an original FULL vaccination card, a copy of a valid FULL vaccination card, a copy of an attendee’s official immunization record, or the results of a negative test. (Antibody tests will not be accepted.) The WASB will NOT retain any health information. (A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series or one dose of Janssen vaccine.)
- All attendees must wear an appropriate face mask to attend any convention event.
If the CDC, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County or the Wisconsin Center District implements more stringent measures at the time of the convention, those will be followed.
The Wisconsin Center District received the Global Bio-Risk Advisory Council Star Accreditation from ISSA in 2020, the global standard for stringent cleaning protocols. This ongoing program verifies that WCD and each of its facilities implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and infectious disease.
