2022 Spring Workshops
To understand what makes a school board work — what makes it effective — you have to understand its role.
A school board is like the conductor of an orchestra or the navigator of a ship. It plots a course and assembles a team to arrive at the destination.
We call this process “governance,” and it’s a big word. It’s a continuous process that sets a vision for a district and provides the strategic direction and resources to meet it.
From May 10-12 and May 17-19, the WASB is holding a series of six in-person workshops on governance, called “Governing for Excellence.”
There will also be an online workshop held on May 24 from 7-8:30 p.m.
The registration fee is $105. Dinner is included.
UPDATE: The Spring Workshops in Whitewater and Fennimore have been canceled. If you have a question, please contact us.
