Since 2004, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) has implemented the nationally known Project Lead The Way (PLTW) pre-engineering program. MPS now has the nation’s largest footprint of PLTW with 28 schools and over 5,400 children in grades 6-12.
This tour will visit two MPS schools—Escuela Vieau K-8 and Bradley Tech High School — to see PLTW students in action and hear from teachers, the program coach and administrators about strategies for successfully using design-based learning, integrating academic and technical lessons, and growing STEM education. The tour will include discussion on MPS’ evaluation of PLTW student engagement and performance. Interested? Check the “School Tours” box on your registration form.
