The newest Marquette Law School Poll was released by Prof. Charles Franklin on Aug. 17 and featured an array of questions on various topics including approval numbers for various federal and state elected officials and candidates.
On the K-12 front, questions were asked about school funding support and taxpayer-subsidized private school voucher expansion.
What’s more important, reducing property taxes or increasing spending on public schools? Overall, 52% say more for public schools, 43% say reducing property taxes. In April, it was 50% saying school spending, 46% saying reduced property taxes. #mulawpoll

Among Republicans, 70% say reducing property taxes is more important, 23% say increasing school spending is more important. Among Dems, 16% say reducing property taxes, 80% say increasing school spending. Among independents, 40% say tax reduction, 54% say schools. #mulawpoll

Opinion on expanding the number of students using publicly funded vouchers to attend private schools: Overall, 46% favor, 45% oppose. Among Democrats, 26% favor, 62% oppose. Among Republicans, 57% favor, 35% oppose. Among independents, 51% favor, 42% oppose. #mulawpoll
